a golf tournament this weekend and the course is long (7600 meters), the problem is that I am not far away ...?

tee. I average about 240-245 on my records. I am not particularly good with my fairway woods and hybrids either, I tend to hit a puck with them on occasion. But I am pretty good with my 6 iron to lob wedge. My question is on the long par 4 (some as longer (500 meters) that I'd better hit my drive then say a 6 or 7 iron and wedge to the green and hope for a 1 few putts to save par or take my chances and go with hybrids? This is not a big tournament (8 boys) and we do it 4 times per year. We are all in the same handicap and won the last tournament we played with 89 ... just tell you that info to help you form your opinion. Thank you

What you guys should do is actually play the tees that match your skill level. If you are shooting about 90 which puts you at around 21 index of disability. You guys have nothing to play the point and you have a better time if you egos aside and play from tees appropriate. But your question. With your swing hybrid it exactly how you your 6 iron. The hybrid has a length of iron rod and if you treat it like an iron, it will happen for you. You do not need to go over to get the ball bore air and get on the fairway. The club will do the work for you. Go to the beach and do nothing but work on your fairway woods and hybrids. Do not knock them away the mat because you will do no good. Find grass tees and choose a target and hit it. Once you realize that your hybrid is an iron he will start working for you ... Trust me
