Nikon Golf
Do you have any tips for photographing small groups of people?
For a golf tournament, foursomes will be photographed with my Nikon D80 I would just like some advice on positioning, camera settings, it will be * outside, but I have a SB600 flash if I take it with me * Thank you!
Get a diffuser for the flash so that the light is softened (they are milky looking and fit over the front of your SB600 - Available in camera stores as pro). Your flash will cause shadows due to its position on the camera so take this into consideration and if you choose to take a vertical shot, rotate the head so that when you take (which causes the shadow to be pushed to lower management and is more desirable). The flash should be used more to provide fill light rather than dominating the scene (In others, you do not want no experience of falling in black) so do not use a level 1 / 1 Power. Pay attention to your lens to subject distance, the SB600 will give you all Recommended distances and you have to do is be within these distances. I personally prefer the rear curtain sync as it allows exposure to take precedence over flash then fills in dark areas towards the end of exposure producing a more natural light. VERY IMPORTANT: Remember not subject to flash distance must be the same for every image in order to place them in a slight curve (in the center a little farther) will even light through the exhibition - The center of the flash is the strongest light. The broadcaster should significantly help minimize this effect standard flash. You can also use the flash (back in the top of Flash) to increase the dispersion of light .. Your camera / flash combination is excellent and makes this project very simple ..
