Improve Your Golf - Putting

For many of us the fun days of mini-putting as kids has turned into frustration painful in adulthood on the golf course. A hole can be deposited a twenty foot putt across a major break on the green on the next hole three feet putt eludes us.

The biggest problem is not in putting the breaks in the green or the distance from the hole, it is your mind.

Solution better not to the point where the concentration is in your ability to "let go" of needing to sink putt.

The Letting Go Solution:

5 steps to a better implementation:

1: estimate the distance between the ball and hole.

2: Bend down to look for breaks in the green hills or slopes toward the hole. Just let your eyes pass over the green, without trial. It is what it is.

3: Go to the ball, practice swing your putter until your body tells you the speed you must hit the ball until it feels just right. Trust it.

4: Free your mind from the process by taking a deep breath.

5: Take a last look at the hole and putt away.

6: Whether your ball goes in or not, to maintain the meditation as long as you can. This gives your body a chance to learn the putt. Too often we get excited, whether the ball goes in the hole or it is not and our body and mind tension and affect the sensory learning that putt.

Want to sink all the putt? Not likely. But this process will make you a better putter. The hardest thing is out of your mind the outcome. When you make your body with natural intelligence and you adjust accordingly put in place to sink the next putt.

Put more sensory, tactile, any other time in golf. It requires pin-point accuracy where the slightest mistake in stroke can send the ball through.

When the mind focuses on the body to make the putt-time faculty and does not have an accurate view of what has past, or to the right, and not learn.

Bottom Line: Take the spirit of the equation and see the putts drop!
